Electron Microscopy Sciences Biopsy Paper Bags, 45 mm x 75 mm, 500/pk
These bags are made from porous paper which provides maximum tissue safety during processing. They permit proper fluid exchange and drainage. To Use simply introduce the specimen into the bag and fold it enclosing the cassette or capsule. You are now ready to process as usual.

Biopsy Pads are made from open-celled foam, which allows fluids to transfer safely and thoroughly around tissue while holding the specimen securely. To prevent floating and avoid artifacts, Biopsy Pads should be presaturated in fixative. The thin design helps eliminate excess pressure from being applied to unfixed specimens, reducing the risk of tissue sticking to the pads or fibers coming apart during embedding. Available in white or blue foam, circular or rectangular. The thinner pads also allow for less fluid carry-over during processing.

Electron Microscopy Sciences SupaMega Stainless Steel Slim Base Mold, 60 x 45 x 8 mm, 8 mm height
The SupaMega range of stainless steel base molds have extra deep side walls allowing wax to be decanted into the cassettes during embedding without the risk of the usual leakage of wax. The smaller faced mold also saves wax on medium sized blocks too large to fit into standard cassettes negating the use of full size molds.

Electron Microscopy Sciences T-Sue™ Precast Paraffin Block, 4 mm
Precast T-Sue Microarray paraffin blocks are used to construct a tissue array block in minutes by simply punching the donor tissue cores and inserting into a pre-made paraffin recipient block. It is an easy, convenient, and low cost method for constructing paraffin tissue microarrays. The blocks are made of paraffin and the cassettes are made of acetal. The cassette is permanently bonded to the block and has consistent core diameters. It is ready to accept cores from the donor block.
Kit includes 6 Precast T-Sue Paraffin blocks and two punch needles with stylet.

The Tissue-Tek® optimum cutting temperature (O.C.T.) solution is composed of water-soluble glycols and resins that give a specimen matrix for cryostat sectioning at temperatures of –10°C (14°F) and below.
